Inspired Home | Bowled Over

We turned to Elana Kilkenny for the best in statement serveware. Not only did she deliver, she dreamed up some dishes (and ideas for entertaining) that pair with each.

As we head into the time of year where we tend to gather more for dinner parties both inside and al fresco, here are some serving bowl and platters to inspire you to bring more connection through the deliciousness to be savored through a shared meal.

These selections, along with their corresponding recipes, were chosen with the intention to inspire you to go beyond your regular go-to recipes and to expand your culinary explorations into an experience that is truly transporting…

VIETNAMeSE

Abigails palmetto serving bowl
Abigails $185.00 DETAILS

While this stylish palmetto design is actually a Portuguese motif, it reminds us of the forever-chic French Vietnamese restaurant in NYC, Indochine, with its iconic leaf wallpaper. We can easily see filling this bowl with a refreshing green papaya salad or a Pho soup.

COASTAL

Caskata lobster serving platter
Caskata $100.00 DETAILS

Whether you are in a Montauk or a Maine state of mind, this on-the-nose themed platter will surely bring some coastal vibes to your next clambake or BBQ.

California Rustic

Juliska stonewood stripe round serving bowl
Juliska $188.00 DETAILS

Stripes of hand-marbled resin add an artisanal flair to the rustic textures of this serving bowl made from acacia wood. It’s the kind of vessel to serve a hearty or light pasta dish in while dining under (or imagining) the light of fireflies and the shadows of redwoods.

Moroccan

Le souk sabrine tagine
Le Souk $48.00 DETAILS

Think eating on a low table surrounded by colorful-patterned floor cushions and the sensual glow of candelight through hammered metal lanterns. This modernly exotic tagine is perfect for your next Moroccan-inspired feast.

English Countryside (gone exotically wild)

Christian lacroix caribe platter
Christian Lacroix $295.00 DETAILS

This exuberant and whimsical porcelain platter, by famed designer Christian Lacroix, highlights his signature mélange of motifs and cultures. The elements here are meant “to evoke the English embroidery on the pristine petticoats once worn by the woman of Salvadore de Bahia”. One can easily imagine a number of delectable and decadent desserts being offered on this feisty and sensual platter.

Tribeca Loft

Alexandra von furstenberg voltage large candy bowl
Alexandra Von Furstenberg $425.00 DETAILS

This sexy minimalist piece by Alexandra Von Furstenberg might be called a candy bowl, but we can easily imagine serving some spiced nuts or fresh figs in this very simple yet loft-y bowl.

Asian Mix

Mottahedeh tobacco leaf platter
Mottahedeh $415.00 DETAILS

This colorful platter featuring hand-painted 22 karat-gold is an updated take on a classic tobacco leaf pattern. While just about any dish (Asian-inspired or otherwise) would be tempting on this beauty, we can’t help but envision serving some gorgeous summer rolls decorated with edible flowers.
