Oyster Stew

INGREDIENTS

1 pint of oysters
1 cup of clam juice
1 ct. of half & half or milk
4 tbs butter
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce


DIRECTIONS

For a tasty stew, use two pans -- one for the milk (or half & half) and one for the oysters and other ingredients. Never allow combined milk and oysters to boil. 

In one pan, melt the butter, stir in the seasonings, oysters, oyster liquor & clam juice. Cook very steady until edges of oysters curl. 

Put the milk or half & half in the second pan and bring to a boil. Then remove from heat and add to it the contents of the first pan. 

Serve piping hot with common crackers.
